and published in the college website - www.asutoshcollege.in. Admission will be
strictly according to Merit List Rank on specified dates to be given in the
college website.
1. Taking admission against any Merit List within dates notified in website is mandatory and no claim after due date of admission for that particular list will be entertained.
2. A candidate who has already appeared in Part-I Examination of (1+1+1) system of Calcutta University is not eligible for admission to any of the courses in semester CBCS for the session 2020.
3. Admission in any other college to be cancelled before submitting admission forms to the college office.
4. Publication dates of different Waiting Lists will announced in the college website. Publication of ranks of Wait-listed candidates will be done in phases as per schedule dates notified. Selected candidates from the Waiting List will follow same procedure for admission as stated previously.
5. Admission of a candidate is provisional. If at any stage of verification of the documents submitted, his/ her any discrepancy or suppression of fact detected, candidature will summarily be rejected.
6. Students are advised to go through the Calcutta University Notification: Admission and Examination Regulations for Semester–wise three year B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus. (Honours/General) courses of studies under C.B.C.S.(No. CSR/3/18) in the Calcutta University website: caluniv.ac.in.

ACHARYA
GIRISH CHANDRA BOSE COLLEGE" formerly Bangabasi College of Commerce]
which was accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council
(NAAC) in 2011 with 'B' Grade.The college found its way in the year
1964. It comes under the purview of affiliation to the University of
Calcutta in 1965. The College was renamed in the year 2005 after ACHARYA
GIRISH CHANDRA BOSE (the founder of BANGABASI COLLEGE), an
educationist, social-reformer, great patriot whose teachings are of
great inspiration and model to us.

Important Note: In keeping with the guideline issued by the Higher Education Department,
Govt. of West Bengal, dated 13 August, 2020, it has been decided to
waive the Application fee for Admission to all First Semester UG courses
(new admission) in Asutosh College for the Academic Session 2020-21,
with immediate effect.
Candidates who have paid the Application Fee will be given refund of the
same.
Of these candidates, Application fees of those eligible for admission in the College for the Session 2020-21, will be given refund during admission.
The Application fees of candidates not taking admission for the Session 2020-21, but who have already submitted the fee, will be given refund through notification, once admission process is completed.
